The Exscite Trust was established in the early 1990's to support science learning opportunities for young people in the Waikato. You may already be familiar with the Exscite Discovery Centre at the Te Whare Taonga o Waikato Museum and Gallery. The Trust played a key role in establishing this space as a hub for interactive science. The Exscite Centre is now owned and operated by Hamilton City Council.

Today, Exscite Trust operates independently of the Exscite Centre. The Exscite Trust focuses on funding practical hands-on science experiences for school-aged students across the Waikato, with the purpose of exciting the young science minds of our tamariki.

The Exscite Trust is committed to supporting projects and learning opportunities that have ongoing impact to enable our young learners to grow their curiosity, wonder, questioning, and investigative skills through exploring science experiences.
